Linking the Land
Growing Together
2.Practicing Sustainable, Eco-Friendly Values
A vision of becoming a top brand in Taiwan’s indigenous brewing culture, Sharing the rich stories of Taiwan’s local territory with global audience.
Planting seeds of goodwill, just as countless small trees gather to form a mountain. Collaborating with local farmers to achieve shared prosperity.
The shape of ripened rice ears reflects the humble spirit of Taiwanese people, and also carries a wish for blessings and good fortune.
A restless spirit drawn to mountains over paved roads, I founded @tomu_project in 2019 to help people rediscover nature.
By 2022, that passion became TOMUWINE, blending Taiwanese rice with innovative brewing for a new way to taste the land.
I believe wine is a cultural vessel, sharing Taiwan’s terroir with the world.
Rooted in rice, expressed through wine — hoping that one day, when the world raises a glass, it will think of Taiwan.
“I never planned to start a business.”
I co-founded TOMU because I believed in my partner’s potential, and wanted to stand by him.
From market stalls to shaping the brand, what began as simple support became a shared mission to bring Taiwanese millet wine to the world.
We want people to see that rice from Taiwan can be more than food — it can become a high-quality wine that tells the story of our land and its craftsmanship.
When the world thinks of rice wine, we hope TOMU is the first name they remember.
After a year of steady growth, we now face new challenges and opportunities. Wangshan Sui will continue to deepen its brand values while expanding across Taiwan and into international markets. We plan to launch more product lines and innovative offerings centered on local crops, bringing the story of Taiwanese millet into everyone’s daily lives through the aroma of our wines. We are not just brewing; we are striving to share the memory of the land and the legacy of culture, opening up endless possibilities for the future.
TOMU officially came to life this year, born from a deep love for Taiwan’s eastern lands and a passion for rice wine culture.
In 2024, Wangshan Sui officially came to life, born from a deep love for the land of eastern Taiwan and a passion for millet wine culture. We launched our first product — Wangshan Sui Sparkling Millet Wine — whose refreshing bubbles and delicate rice aroma quickly won the hearts of young consumers, becoming a new favorite for parties and gatherings. Throughout this year, we laid a solid foundation in brand building, market expansion, and distribution channels.
The Wangshan Sui brand team was officially established this year. With a company-based operation, we are able to carry our vision forward more sustainably. From contract farming to brewing R&D to brand marketing, we have steadily advanced every step toward the market.
Carrying forward TOMU’s spirit of “respecting the land and embracing innovation,” we founded TOMUWINE, Wangshan Sui. Centered around millet sake, we combined traditional crops with innovative brewing techniques to open a new chapter for millet wine in Taiwan.
This year, we ventured deep into eastern Taiwan, visiting farms and working alongside local farmers to explore the diversity of crops and the possibilities of fermentation. It marked the beginning of putting our brand philosophy into practice, and laid the groundwork for our journey with millet wine.
Born out of a deep love for Taiwan’s land and culture, TOMU began its journey in 2020. Our mission was to connect agriculture and everyday life through innovative approaches, so that more people could see and cherish the true value of the land.
