Combining Taiwan’s traditional millet wine with Japanese sake brewing techniques
We source Eco-friendly farming glutinous millet from small farmers in eastern Taiwan, applying Japanese sake brewing methods to fuse two rich traditions in a fresh, innovative way.
This sake carries a citrus-like acidity, with a gentle rice sweetness that emerges toward the finish. It is also perfect served over ice, mixed with soda water, or paired with juice.
This is TOMU’s signature product, crafted with organic millet from Guangfu, Hualien, and brewed with refined Japanese sake techniques. The millet undergoes repeated sieving, washing, soaking, steaming, fermenting, settling, and filtering to achieve a crystal-clear amber hue, like a gift from nature. It embodies the heartfelt blessing of “Wishing You Safe and Sound.”
In the past, wine in Taiwan was a precious offering, and millet wine was used for ceremonies and to honor guests. Today, millet wine has become a bridge connecting neighbors and relatives, sharing good things with warmth and generosity. Its mellow, rich body and fragrant rice notes leave a lasting impression from the very first sip. Drinking millet wine feels gentle and comforting — capturing the human warmth of Taiwan in every glass.
