TOMU WINE

As a benchmark for modern Taiwanese culture and terroir interpretation, TOMU’s iconic masterpiece—“TOMU Millet Sake”—has been invited to exhibit at Taiwan’s largest and most influential annual national cultural event, Creative Expo Taiwan 2026! Featured in the “Future Shop” under the “Body Replenishment” area within the major curatorial zone Back to Before Tomorrow, TOMU Millet Sake showcases the deep memories of Taiwan’s land to national and international audiences through a pure narrative of taste.

➤ Step into Back to Before Tomorrow: An Island Replenishment Station En Route to the Future

The Cultural Curatorial Zone of Creative Expo Taiwan 2026 makes its grand debut at the Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB). Among the key exhibition zones, Back to Before Tomorrow is envisioned as a “cultural airport”—a replenishment station on the way to tomorrow. Here, transit is not just about arrival and departure, but a moment to restore body and mind and recharge energy before taking off. Unfolding across four dimensions—supplies, culture, body, and information—the exhibition transforms the bounty of mountains and seas from 22 counties and cities into tangible daily moments and refined local specialties, inviting visitors to piece together the authentic contours of this island through a multisensory experience.

As the exhibition awakens the senses and settles the mind through “Body Replenishment,” the display of TOMU Millet Sake plays a key role in “converting island terroir into physical and spiritual energy.” Before setting off on a journey toward the future, this is more than just a bottle of sake; it is a deep source of nourishment condensing Taiwan’s mountains, rivers, and passage of time.

➤ Distilling the Pure Energy of the Land: TOMU’s Interpretation of Terroir

In TOMU’s brand universe, TOMU is positioned as a deep, pure carrier of culture and terroir. “TOMU Millet Sake” stands as the ultimate crystallization of this belief:

  • Land Memories & Contract-Farming Commitment: We venture deep into the terroir of Hualien, partnering with local smallholders to cultivate native Taiwanese millet through eco-friendly practices. Every grain carries the weather-worn grace of Hualien’s mountains and seas and the hard work of farmers, perfectly preserving the vibrancy and memories of the native land.
  • Breakthrough Sake Craftsmanship: Challenging the stereotype of traditional millet wine as heavy, cloudy, and sticky, TOMU incorporates refined Japanese fermentation and constant-temperature brewing techniques. Through meticulous filtering and time, it distills an amber-clear sake that preserves the distinct soft rice aroma and natural fruit acidity of millet—delivering a fine-tuned, balanced modern flavor tailored for fine dining.
  • The Blessing Ritual of “May All Go Smoothly”: The bottle carries reverence for nature alongside a heartfelt blessing—”May All Go Smoothly” (Wang Li Shun Sui in Taiwanese). Inside the cultural airport of Back to Before Tomorrow, this millet sake is not only a feast for the palate, but also a treasured supply that soothes the soul and offers abundant blessings before takeoff.

Between moving and lingering, TOMU invites every traveler stepping into Back to Before Tomorrow to awaken their five senses through this tasteful replenishment from Hualien’s forests and golden ears of grain—heading toward a better tomorrow equipped with deep emotion and renewed energy from this island.
